8/24/2017 Austin Pruitt, TB, P
Austin Pruitt allowed five runs on seven hits - including four homers - in 3.2 innings as the Tampa Bay Rays lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6 on Wednesday. Pruitt struck out two, ending the game with a 5.76 ERA and 1.52 WHIP on the season.

Analysis: Pruitt gave the Rays three straight good starts to begin August, but he's been tagged for 11 runs and 18 hits in 10 2/3 innings over his past two. The rookie won't be a recommended play when he next faces playoff-hopeful Kansas City on the road Monday.
8/24/2017 Steve Cishek, TB, P
Steve Cishek did not allow a hit or walk in 1.0 scoreless inning as the Tampa Bay Rays lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6 on Wednesday. Cishek struck out two, ending the game with a 2.03 ERA and 0.87 WHIP on the season.

Analysis: Cishek continues to do nice work in a Rays uniform. The midseason pickup has logged 11 scoreless innings over 11 appearances since coming over in a trade from Seattle, while recording four holds and permitting only four hits and three walks.
8/24/2017 Corey Dickerson, TB, LF
Corey Dickerson went 2 for 3 Wednesday as the Tampa Bay Rays fell to the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6. He ended the game with a .286 batting average.

Analysis: Facing the Blue Jays may have been all Dickerson needed to break out of his lingering slump. The 2017 All-Star is 4 for 7 with a home run so far in this series and is batting .329 (25 for 76) with four homers in 18 meetings with Toronto this season. He's still hitting a measly .169 (11 for 65) with two homers and five RBIs over his last 17 games, however.
8/24/2017 Brad Miller, TB, 2B
Brad Miller went 1 for 4 with an RBI Wednesday as the Tampa Bay Rays lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6. He ended the game with a .187 batting average.
8/24/2017 Darwin Barney, Tor, 2B
Darwin Barney went 2 for 4 Wednesday as the Toronto Blue Jays topped the Tampa Bay Rays 7-6. Barney added a stolen base. He ended the game with a .223 batting average.

Analysis: Barney had been 3 for 36 over his previous 14 games, so fantasy players shouldn't get carried away over this strong performance. The defensive-oriented infielder does have two steals in his last four outings, though he's generally not a major contributor in that category either.
8/24/2017 Lucas Duda, TB, 1B
Lucas Duda went 0 for 3 Wednesday as the Tampa Bay Rays fell to the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6. He ended the game with a .238 batting average.
8/24/2017 José Bautista, Tor, RF
Jose Bautista went 1 for 4 Wednesday as the Toronto Blue Jays topped the Tampa Bay Rays 7-6. He ended the game with a .211 batting average.
8/24/2017 Kevin Pillar, Tor, CF
Kevin Pillar went 1 for 4 with a home run and an RBI Wednesday as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 7-6. The homer was his 13th of the season. He ended the game with a .253 batting average.

Analysis: Pillar connected for Toronto's sixth homer of the night and perhaps the biggest one, as it snapped a 6-all tie in the eighth inning. The center fielder is 7 for 18 on this road trip and next faces a pitcher he's succeeded against in the past in Alex Cobb. He's 3 for 7 lifetime off the Tampa right-hander.
8/24/2017 Logan Morrison, TB, 1B
Logan Morrison went 0 for 4 Wednesday as the Tampa Bay Rays lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6. He ended the game with a .242 batting average.

Analysis: Morrison has had a great overall season, but he's definitely showing signs of slowing down. The slugger is 2 for 21 over his last six games and has produced just one home run and two RBIs through his past 18. He's been especially bad in the second half at Tropicana Field, where he's managed a lowly .151 average, one homer and three RBIs in 21 games since July 7.
8/24/2017 Adeiny Hechavarria, TB, SS
Adeiny Hechavarria went 0 for 4 Wednesday as the Tampa Bay Rays lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6. Hechavarria scored once. He ended the game with a .242 batting average.
8/24/2017 Justin Smoak, Tor, 1B
Justin Smoak went 1 for 5 with a home run and an RBI Wednesday as the Toronto Blue Jays topped the Tampa Bay Rays 7-6. The homer was his 34th of the season. He ended the game with a .290 batting average.
8/24/2017 Kevin Kiermaier, TB, CF
Kevin Kiermaier went 3 for 4 with two home runs and three RBIs Wednesday as the Tampa Bay Rays lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6. The homers were his ninth and 10th of the season. Kiermaier scored three times and stole a base. He ended the game with a .276 batting average.

Analysis: The Gold Glove center fielder has returned from an absence of two-plus months with a vengeance. In five games since coming back, Kiermaier is 10 for 21 with three homers, six RBIs and six runs scored while producing four straight multihit efforts. He's clearly fully healthy now.
8/24/2017 Steve Pearce, Tor, 1B
Steve Pearce went 2 for 5 with a double, a home run and an RBI Wednesday as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 7-6. The homer was his 13th of the season. Pearce scored twice. He ended the game with a .273 batting average.

Analysis: The former Ray continues to have a strong second half, as he's batting .319 (22 for 69) with four homers over his last 20 games and has recorded multiple hits in four of his past seven. Pearce is 9 for 26 (.346) with a pair of homers and six runs scored over that latter stretch.
8/24/2017 Ryan Goins, Tor, 2B
Ryan Goins went 1 for 4 with a home run and an RBI Wednesday as the Toronto Blue Jays topped the Tampa Bay Rays 7-6. The homer was his sixth of the season. He ended the game with a .216 batting average.
8/24/2017 Raffy López, Tor, C
Raffy Lopez went 1 for 3 with a home run and an RBI Wednesday as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 7-6. The homer was his first of the season. He ended the game with a .130 batting average.
8/24/2017 Steven Souza Jr., TB, RF
Steven Souza Jr. went 2 for 5 with a home run and an RBI Wednesday as the Tampa Bay Rays fell to the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6. The homer was his 27th of the season. Souza Jr. scored twice. He ended the game with a .256 batting average.

Analysis: Souza is hitting just .159 (7 for 44) over his last 13 games, but he has homered twice in the past four while adding a pair of stolen bases. He has hit Toronto well throughout this breakout season, posting a .321 average (18 for 56) and a .997 OPS in 17 meetings.
8/24/2017 Evan Longoria, TB, 3B
Evan Longoria went 1 for 5 with an RBI Wednesday as the Tampa Bay Rays fell to the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6. Longoria added a stolen base. He ended the game with a .264 batting average.
8/24/2017 Josh Donaldson, Tor, 3B
Josh Donaldson went 1 for 5 with a home run and two RBIs Wednesday as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 7-6. The homer was his 22nd of the season. He ended the game with a .264 batting average.

Analysis: Donaldson's second homer in as many games was also his seventh during a 10-game tear in which he's batting .361 (13 for 36) with 12 RBIs and nine runs scored. The three-time All-Star's 13 homers since July 27 are tied with Giancarlo Stanton for the major league lead, and he's knocked in 26 runs over that 24-game span.
8/24/2017 Kendrys Morales, Tor, DH
Kendrys Morales went 2 for 4 Wednesday as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 7-6. He ended the game with a .245 batting average.

Analysis: Though he's 3 for 8 in this series, Morales is still hitting .146 (6 for 41) with one RBI over his last 14 games. The veteran DH has hit very well at Tropicana Field this season, however, posting a .343 average (12 for 35) with three homers and 10 RBIs in nine visits.
8/24/2017 Wilson Ramos, TB, C
Wilson Ramos went 2 for 4 Wednesday as the Tampa Bay Rays fell to the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6. He ended the game with a .258 batting average.

Analysis: Ramos is finally looking comfortable at the plate and it shows, as he's a scorching 16 for 27 with two homers while hitting safely in seven consecutive starts. The offseason addition has collected multiple hits in the last six of those outings.
