Analysis: It might amaze some that Leake leads the NL in ERA, but not him. "No, I'm not surprised because it's been an eight-year process for me to get where I'm at,'' Leake said. "I'm not surprised for myself, but I'm sure it is a surprise for others.'' He has not allowed more than three runs in any of his nine starts. Leake faces the Dodgers again on Monday.

Analysis: Though he had a string of four consecutive winning decisions halted, Leake improved to 7-for-7 in quality starts this season. The right-hander gets his first interleague test of 2017 Wednesday against Boston, where that streak could be tested. He's 2-7 with a 5.94 ERA in 12 starts against AL teams since July 2014.

Analysis: Leake, who won his third straight start, walked three after issuing just one base on balls over 21 1/3 innings in his first three starts. His next start is Saturday against a Reds team he faced in his season debut, yielding a run over eight innings on April 7. He has never beaten his former team in five starts, despite posting a 2.84 ERA in his last three matchups.

Analysis: Leake (2-1) has now yielded just two runs in 21 1/3 innings over a string of three straight outstanding starts. The 29-year-old, who went 0-3 with a 6.03 ERA through his first six outings of 2016, will attempt to keep his excellent run going Sunday at Milwaukee's Miller Park, where he won both of his two starts a season ago.

Analysis: Leake, who threw eight innings of one-run ball in his season debut, had lost his last four decisions against Washington but retired 19 batters in a row at one point. "What a great day. Seven shutout innings against this team," manager Mike Matheny said. "The way he did it just seems to be a carryover from what we have seen so far this spring."
