Analysis: Wacha wasn't able to build off an excellent season debut, when he held the Reds to one run and three hits through six innings in a winning effort last Saturday. The good news is he's healthy after shoulder issues limited him to seven wins and contributed to his career-worst 5.09 ERA in 2016.

Wacha struggled a year ago, going 7-7 with a 5.09 ERA in 138 innings over 27 games (24 starts), but earned a spot in the rotation with a strong spring, posting a 2.42 ERA in 26 innings over seven starts.
|Mar. 8 3:52 PM PT4:52 PM MT5:52 PM CT6:52 PM ET18:52 ET23:52 GMT7:52 4:52 PM MST6:52 PM EST7:22 PM VEN3:52 UAE (+1)5:52 PM CT-Wacha allowed two hits in three scoreless innings during the St. Louis Cardinals' 9-3 win over Washington on Wednesday.
