Analysis: Manaea had his start moved up to replace an injured Kendall Graveman. He's won his last two outings while allowing two earned runs over 12 innings.

Manaea struck out seven, ending the game with a 5.52 ERA and 1.23 WHIP on the season.
Analysis: Manaea, activated from the disabled list (strained left shoulder) earlier in the day, showed signs of rust. He walked five in the first two innings, with two of those runners scoring as Seattle took a 4-0 advantage, but Manaea retired his final 10 batters in his first start since April 26.

Analysis: In the sixth, Manaea opened the inning by walking three straight batters before errors by Adam Rosales and Jaff Decker allowed George Springer and Alex Bregman to score. Manaea had six strikeouts, giving him 20 through 16 1/3 innings. His strikeout pace is way up from his 2016 rookie season, but so are his walks (nine).
