Nov. 22 8:14 PM PT9:14 PM MT10:14 PM CT11:14 PM ET4:14 GMT12:14 9:14 PM MST11:14 PM EST8:14 UAE05:1423:14 ET10:14 PM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 22 points Wednesday on 8-of-17 shooting as the Oklahoma City Thunder topped the Golden State Warriors 108-91. Anthony grabbed five rebounds and added an assist, accumulating a plus-minus of +16 in his 35:45 on the floor. He added one steal. Anthony went 3 of 7 from behind the arc.
Analysis: The Thunder had the better Big 3 on this night, with Anthony aiding the cause by hitting the 22-point mark for just the second time in his last 11 games. The esteemed veteran continues to put up steady but not all-world numbers in an OKC uniform, having posted season averages of 20.1 points and 6.3 rebounds along with a .359 percentage on 3-pointers.
Nov. 21 12:07 AM PT1:07 AM MT2:07 AM CT3:07 AM ET8:07 GMT16:07 1:07 AM MST3:07 AM EST12:07 UAE09:073:07 ET2:07 AM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 19 points Monday, going 7 of 19 from the field, as the Oklahoma City Thunder fell to the New Orleans Pelicans 114-107. Anthony grabbed nine rebounds and dished out two assists, tallying a plus-minus of +11 in his 35:05 on the floor. He tacked on four steals. Anthony went 2 of 9 from 3-point range.
Analysis: The four steals are what stand out most here, as Anthony came in having generated just 10 through the season's first 14 games. The perennial All-Star isn't having a great November for the slumping Thunder, though his averages of 17.5 points and eight rebounds for the month are still more than usable for fantasy players despite his .377 field goal percentage during that span.
Nov. 18 9:57 AM PT10:57 AM MT11:57 AM CT12:57 PM ET17:57 GMT1:57 10:57 AM MST12:57 PM EST21:57 UAE18:5712:57 ET11:57 AM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 20 points Friday on 9-of-17 shooting as the Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the San Antonio Spurs 104-101. Anthony grabbed six rebounds and dished out three assists, accumulating a plus-minus of -3 in his 32:54 on the floor. He added one block. Anthony went 2 of 3 from behind the arc.
Analysis: Anthony nearly had another 3-pointer, one that would have tied the game in the final minutes, but his toe was on the line. However, maybe because he tied a season low with three 3-point attempts, Anthony shot better than 50 percent from the field for the first time in three weeks. His three assists also matched a season high.
Nov. 16 7:28 AM PT8:28 AM MT9:28 AM CT10:28 AM ET15:28 GMT23:28 8:28 AM MST10:28 AM EST19:28 UAE16:2810:28 ET9:28 AM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 18 points Wednesday, going 3 of 10 from the field, as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Chicago Bulls 92-79. Anthony grabbed 11 rebounds and did not have an assist, tallying a plus-minus of +15 in his 28:07 on the floor. Anthony went 1 of 2 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Anthony returned to the lineup after missing the previous game with a sore lower back. It looks the rest did him some good.
Nov. 12 2:21 PM PT3:21 PM MT4:21 PM CT5:21 PM ET22:21 GMT6:21 3:21 PM MST5:21 PM EST2:21 UAE (+1)23:2117:21 ET4:21 PM CTNaN: - Anthony will play in Wednesday's game against the Bulls after missing Sunday's win over the Mavericks with a sore back.
Analysis: Anthony was able to practice Tuesday but only did non-contact work, then was listed as doubtful for this game before being upgraded to questionable Wednesday. He is off to a rough start in November, shooting just 35.5 percent and averaging 16.6 points in five games.
Nov. 11 10:05 PM PT11:05 PM MT12:05 AM CT1:05 AM ET6:05 GMT14:05 11:05 PM MST1:05 AM EST10:05 UAE07:051:05 ET12:05 AM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 14 points Friday on 5-of-12 shooting as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 120-111. Anthony pulled down six rebounds and dished out three assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +22 in his 30:32 of playing time. He added one block. Anthony went 1 of 5 from behind the arc.
Analysis: Anthony hasn't been sharp of late except for his 28-point performance Thursday at Denver. That's his only 20-point performance in the last six games and he's 33 for 90 (36.7) from the field in that span.
Nov. 10 9:52 PM PT10:52 PM MT11:52 PM CT12:52 AM ET5:52 GMT13:52 10:52 PM MST12:52 AM EST9:52 UAE06:520:52 ET11:52 PM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 28 points Thursday on 10-of-20 shooting as the Oklahoma City Thunder fell to the Denver Nuggets 102-94. Anthony grabbed five rebounds and did not have an assist, accumulating a plus-minus of -4 in his 32:57 of playing time. He added two blocks and one steal. Anthony went 6 of 10 from behind the arc.
Analysis: Anthony moved into 24th place on the NBA all-time scoring list. He passed former teammate Allen Iverson and ended the night with 24,385 career points. Anthony scored his first 13,940 points playing for the Nuggets 2003-2011. He is 20 points behind Ray Allen for 23rd on the NBA all-time scoring list.
Nov. 8 9:03 AM PT10:03 AM MT11:03 AM CT12:03 PM ET17:03 GMT1:03 10:03 AM MST12:03 PM EST21:03 UAE18:0312:03 ET11:03 AM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 16 points Tuesday on 4-of-17 shooting as the Oklahoma City Thunder fell to the Sacramento Kings 94-86. Anthony grabbed seven rebounds and had two assists, accumulating a plus-minus of -21 in his 34:03 on the floor. He added one steal. Anthony went 3 of 9 from behind the arc.
Analysis: After a strong start, Anthony has fallen into a bit of a shooting slump. He's averaged just 13.7 points on 27.3 percent shooting in the past three games.
Nov. 6 6:12 AM PT7:12 AM MT8:12 AM CT9:12 AM ET14:12 GMT22:12 7:12 AM MST9:12 AM EST18:12 UAE15:129:12 ET8:12 AM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 15 points Sunday on 5-of-10 shooting as the Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Portland Trail Blazers 103-99. Anthony grabbed six rebounds and did not have an assist, accumulating a plus-minus of -9 in his 23:13 on the floor. Anthony went 2 of 4 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Anthony was ejected with 4:26 left in the third quarter. Driving to the basket for a layup, Anthony elbowed the chin of Nurkic, who collapsed and lay on the floor for more than a minute. Initially, Nurkic was called for the foul, but following a video review, Anthony was hit with a flagrant 2 foul in what was easily one of the strangest and worst calls in the history of the NBA.
Nov. 4 8:58 AM PT9:58 AM MT10:58 AM CT11:58 AM ET15:58 GMT23:58 8:58 AM MST10:58 AM EST19:58 UAE16:5811:58 ET9:58 AM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 10 points Friday, going 3 of 17 from the field, as the Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Boston Celtics 101-94. Anthony grabbed 14 rebounds and had three assists, tallying a plus-minus of -1 in his 33:23 on the floor. He added one block. Anthony struggled from behind the arc, coming up empty on all five of his attempts.
Analysis: After scoring at least 20 over his first six games, Anthony has now totaled 27 points in his last two. He should be able to get back on track next time out.
Oct. 31 8:19 PM PT9:19 PM MT10:19 PM CT11:19 PM ET3:19 GMT11:19 8:19 PM MST10:19 PM EST7:19 UAE (+1)04:1923:19 ET9:19 PM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 17 points Tuesday, going 6 of 14 from the field, as the Oklahoma City Thunder topped the Milwaukee Bucks 110-91. Anthony grabbed eight rebounds and added an assist, tallying a plus-minus of +14 in his 28:41 of playing time. He added one block and one steal. Anthony went 1 of 3 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Despite failing to net at least 21 points for the first time in the Thunder's seven games, Anthony was more of a factor on the glass while delivering another efficient effort. Though it's still extremely early, the 10-time All-Star's .531 effective field goal percentage is easily the highest of his 15-year career.
Oct. 28 8:23 PM PT9:23 PM MT10:23 PM CT11:23 PM ET3:23 GMT11:23 8:23 PM MST10:23 PM EST7:23 UAE (+1)05:2323:23 ET10:23 PM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points Saturday on 7-of-16 shooting as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Chicago Bulls 101-69. Anthony grabbed five rebounds and had two assists, tallying a plus-minus of +24 in his 27:41 of playing time. Anthony went 5 of 9 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Playing in the second half of a back-to-back and with the outcome all but decided, Anthony played fewer than 33 minutes for the first time this season.
Oct. 27 7:54 PM PT8:54 PM MT9:54 PM CT10:54 PM ET2:54 GMT10:54 7:54 PM MST9:54 PM EST6:54 UAE (+1)04:5422:54 ET9:54 PM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 23 points Friday on 8-of-15 shooting as the Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves 119-116. Anthony pulled down two rebounds and dished out two assists, accumulating a plus-minus of -7 in his 36:51 of playing time. He added one block and one steal. Anthony went 1 of 5 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Anthony had another solid effort and has improved his field-goal percentage in every game. He has scored between 22 and 28 points this season and had just one turnover Friday after he had a season-high six Wednesday against Indiana. He did, however, grab only two rebounds after he somehow had 10 the previous game. Melo had just six double-digit rebound games last season for the Knicks.
Oct. 25 7:56 PM PT8:56 PM MT9:56 PM CT10:56 PM ET2:56 GMT10:56 7:56 PM MST9:56 PM EST6:56 UAE (+1)04:5622:56 ET9:56 PM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 28 points Wednesday, going 9 of 17 from the field, as the Oklahoma City Thunder topped the Indiana Pacers 114-96. Anthony grabbed 10 rebounds and added an assist, accumulating a plus-minus of +19 in his 32:59 of playing time. He added three blocks. Anthony went 3 of 7 from behind the arc.
Analysis: Anthony had his most complete game of the season with season highs of 28 points an 10 rebounds. He did also commit a season-high six turnovers after totaling five miscues in the first three games. Carmelo is never going to fill the stat sheet the way Russell Westbrook can but he certainly appears comfortable in the early going with his new team.
Oct. 22 11:41 PM PT12:41 AM MT1:41 AM CT2:41 AM ET6:41 GMT14:41 11:41 PM MST1:41 AM EST10:41 UAE08:412:41 ET1:41 AM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 26 points Saturday on 12-of-26 shooting as the Oklahoma City Thunder fell to the Utah Jazz 96-87. Anthony pulled down three rebounds and dished out two assists, tallying a plus-minus of -6 in his 36:35 of playing time. He added one block and one steal. Anthony went 2 of 8 from behind the arc.
Analysis: Having Russell Westbrook and Paul George as teammates certainly hasn't reduced Anthony's volume, as he's now put up 46 total shots and 18 tries from 3 while totaling 48 points through his first two games in a Thunder uniform. The fact that he was able to have a productive night despite OKC's offense struggling mightily as a unit bodes well for his season outlook, provided his previous knee troubles don't start popping up again.
Oct. 22 7:08 PM PT8:08 PM MT9:08 PM CT10:08 PM ET2:08 GMT10:08 7:08 PM MST9:08 PM EST6:08 UAE (+1)04:0822:08 ET9:08 PM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 23 points Sunday, going 9 of 19 from the field, as the Oklahoma City Thunder fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves 115-113. Anthony grabbed two rebounds and had two assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +12 in his 37:02 of playing time. He added three steals. Anthony went 2 of 7 from behind the arc.
Analysis: Anthony hit a 3-pointer with 5.1 seconds left to put the Thunder ahead before Andrew Wiggins' 3-pointer from a few steps inside halfcourt banked in as time expired to give the Timberwolves the victory. Anthony is averaging 23.7 points in his first three games with Oklahoma City.
Oct. 19 8:23 PM PT9:23 PM MT10:23 PM CT11:23 PM ET3:23 GMT11:23 8:23 PM MST10:23 PM EST7:23 UAE (+1)05:2323:23 ET10:23 PM CTNaN: - Carmelo Anthony scored 22 points Thursday, going 8 of 20 from the field, as the Oklahoma City Thunder topped the New York Knicks 105-84. Anthony pulled down one rebound and added an assist, accumulating a plus-minus of 0 in his 33:41 of playing time. He added two blocks and two steals. Anthony went 3 of 10 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Anthony looks like he's going to put up his usual numbers in Oklahoma City despite the presence of Paul George and Russell Westbrook.
Sep. 23 10:58 AM PT11:58 AM MT12:58 PM CT1:58 PM ET17:58 GMT1:58 10:58 AM MST12:58 PM EST21:58 UAE19:5813:58 ET12:58 PM CTNaN: - The New York Knicks agreed to trade Anthony to the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to multiple reports Saturday. The Thunder will send center Enes Kanter, forward Doug McDermott and a 2018 second-round pick via the Chicago Bulls to the Knicks, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Anthony will waive his no-trade clause and his $8.1 trade kicker to accommodate the deal, according to ESPN.
Analysis: Anthony joins MVP Russell Westbrook and newly acquired All-Star forward Paul George in a reshaped and Western Conference contender. Anthony averaged 22.4 points on 43.3 percent shooting along with 5.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 74 games with the Knicks last season, his seventh in New York and 14th in the NBA.
Aug. 11 8:10 AM PT9:10 AM MT10:10 AM CT11:10 AM ET15:10 GMT23:10 8:10 AM MST10:10 AM EST19:10 UAE17:1011:10 ET10:10 AM CTNaN: - After initial talks between the New York Knicks and Rockets about an Anthony trade stalled, the teams have re-engaged in discussions to send the 10-time All-Star to the Magnolia City, according to an ESPN report.
Analysis: Anthony will only waive his no-trade clause to be dealt to the Rockets, refusing to include more teams on his list of potential destinations, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
July 14 8:02 AM PT9:02 AM MT10:02 AM CT11:02 AM ET15:02 GMT23:02 8:02 AM MST10:02 AM EST19:02 UAE17:0211:02 ET10:02 AM CTNaN: - The Knicks have temporarily halted their attempts to trade Anthony and have renewed interest in keeping him with the organization, according to an ESPN.com report.
Analysis: The about-face comes one day after the team reached an agreement with Kings VP of basketball operations Scott Perry to become the new general manager. The Knicks were said to be heavily into talks with the Rockets on a trade involving the 10-time All-Star, with the Cavaliers also believed to have interest in acquiring Anthony as well.
July 3 3:26 PM PT4:26 PM MT5:26 PM CT6:26 PM ET22:26 GMT6:26 3:26 PM MST5:26 PM EST2:26 UAE (+1)00:2618:26 ET5:26 PM CTNaN: - Anthony may be open to waiving his no-trade clause for a deal to the Rockets or Cavaliers.
Analysis: The arrival of All-Star Chris Paul to team up with James Harden jumped Houston into contention for Anthony and established his interest in joining the Rockets, according to ESPN, while the chance to play with good friend LeBron James makes Cleveland an attractive destination. Anthony and recently fired Knicks president Phil Jackson were at odds throughout the season because of trade speculation.
