The bruising forward scored the game's only goal unassisted with 9:15 remaining in Game 3 of the team's opening-round series with San Jose, giving Edmonton a 2-1 series lead.
Analysis: There have been plenty of unexpected occurrences so far in these playoffs, and Kassian having more goals than Connor McDavid is among the most shocking. With two game-winning scores and 13 hits so far in the series, the 26-year-old has suddenly turned into a fantasy force.

The physical forward scored the game's first goal on a short-handed chance early in the second period and finished with six hits.

Though not much of an offensive threat, the Edmonton enforcer has delivered 10 hits through the first two games and should help out in that category.
